Getting started
How to get started
A short walkthrough of each part of Migraine Today — what it's for and how to use it. Whatever your age or background, none of it requires more than what's shown below; skip to whichever section is relevant to you using the list on the left.
Log your day
Open Log today and answer a short set of questions — whether you had a headache, how intense it was, what symptoms and triggers applied, what you took. Every field is optional; answer only what's relevant and leave the rest blank. Takes under a minute once it's part of your routine.
See your patterns
Once you've logged a few weeks, the Insights tab charts your triggers, medication effectiveness, and attack frequency over time — patterns that are hard to see day-to-day, laid out clearly enough to bring straight to a doctor's appointment.
Cycle tracking
For accounts where it applies, the Cycle tab overlays your logged migraine days on your cycle to surface hormonal patterns. It's only shown for accounts where cycle tracking is relevant, and can be turned on or off anytime from Settings.
Log by speaking, not typing
Typing a full entry mid-attack, with light or sound sensitivity, isn't always realistic. If you use a Plaud recorder, just speak what you're feeling instead — Migraine Today matches the recording against migraine-related keywords and turns it into a pre-filled diary entry you review and save, found under Pro tools.
Spot stress patterns in your chats
Under Pro tools, upload a WhatsApp chat export and Migraine Today scans it — entirely in your browser, the raw text is never uploaded — for stress language, late-night messaging, and other patterns that often show up before an attack.
Find pharmacy and wellness spending
Also under Pro tools, upload a bank statement PDF and Migraine Today finds pharmacy, sports, and nutrition purchases, then offers to log the matching day for you — no manual searching through months of transactions.
What it all looks like together
A wider view of your account once you've been using it for a while — the diary, insights, and tools above, together in one place, once there's real history behind them.
